Easter Weekend Special

If your family is together this weekend
why not call me for a photography shoot.

Just before dinner is a good time
I will photograph everyone in the family first.
Then we can do different combinations, since you are all available in one spot.
My favorite thing to photograph is the either in your living room or out side .
4pm is a good time, the kids are awake and it's just before cocktail time.
The most important  thing is that the lighting is perfect.

Since you are all together why not have a few shots of the grandparents with the grandchildren.
Or even break off into you individual families for a special once in a life time moment.

The whole process usually takes an hour or so.  I can stay longer  by all means.

When it is convenient I can get together with you at your home at a later date to view your images
or you can go to my web site and view your images on my on line web store

prices for your portraits are listed here:  Price lists

Word Camp Toronto 2010

For $35.00
an unbelievable forum
Breakfast Lunch and a glass of wine with cheese at the end

Last Saturday I attended the word press forum with along with a full audience
from the novice to the seasoned blogger.
The information that was shared was presented in a fast enough pace to keep the momentum moving so the croud was really engaged.

I am still digesting the information but the main points I took home with me
  1. figure out what you enjoy and your interests
  2. what do you want to acheive with a blog
  3. make a plan with your blog what-how-why
  4.  Facebook Fan Pages are about relationships so  do not shove anything down there neck
  5. Why social media fails
  6. who does it right is Sprouter they engage the community and help
  7. don't steal give credit where credit is due
  8. don't paint the old as new
  9. .... to be continued

Archived Negatives are still like new

As we all know color portraits from the late seventies and earlier are fading fast.
The beauty about being in business for so long is that I value all my negatives and have meticulously archived them.
This shot I had to take  because
the customer had saved all the packaging, right down to the envelope.
Needless to say I did replace their old portrait with a fresh brand new one.

It's spring cleaning time?
If your portrait from the past is fading away, call today and I can replace it with a new one.
I'll fit it right back into the original frame or you may want smaller portraits as gifts for the kids.

Enterprise Toronto Forum

Farley is on the right
Had a fun filled day today at the Small Business Arts Forum 2010 presented by Enterprise Toronto.
The Keynote speaker Farley Flax(Canadian Idol judge) was especially. He is the kind of guy who can focus his energy on what he loves, which is music, people and sports. He inspired the crowd by telling them to channel themselves and to be aware of importance of knowing what people are saying. What your mother thinks is not the be all end! I especially liked his theory of when you are wearing all the hats in your business. The one that is too big will cover your eyes and the one that is too small will squeeze your brain. So build a team and find the people who fits under those hats.
Business is all about exposure and reaching out to tell the world and finding the people who agree with you. here are some of the people I met and networked with

Why I do What I do

Photography is a passion that I feel I was born with. When I am behind the camera I become alive and rejuvenated. Being a portrait specialist I strive to have my customers experience the same type of emotions so that their final images evoke a similar reaction.

I take into consideration the lasting effect my portraits will have

for our future generations. Ronald Miller Photography Ltd has had 50 years of a solid reputation for doing just that.

Portraits are like art they should hold the viewers attention.

The spontaneous nature of my style coupled with the ease of the execution makes the photo session effortless right through to the final selection process. With my vision and knowing your needs, this results in a successful journey towards the final product. A commitment of your time, thought, style and clothing is all part of the experience.

Why only yesterday I was reacquainted with a customer who told me how important their portrait was to them. They told me of the joy it brought to them, their family and friends. This kind of feedback is magical and the backbone for the success of my business.

The final product either for reproduction or gracing your walls at home will give you years of enjoyment and memories.

Now go ahead indulge yourself, your family, or your firm.

Invest in a gift that keeps on giving.
